Real Madrid plan 'action' after hearing of fans fined for wearing club colours

Real Madrid are getting involved after news of fans being fined by French authorities while strolling around Paris during Champions League final weekend.

It emerged last week that some Real Madrid fans had been fined just for strolling down the Champs-Élysées and the area surrounding the Eiffel Tower - apparently singled out by police for wearing their Real Madrid shirts and scarves.

Thousands of others were assaulted, robbed, beaten and humiliated at the end of the Champions League final in Saint-Denis, as they made their way to the Metro or to the car park where they had left their vehicles to return home to Spain.

AS reports fans were fined €375 for walking around the city in Real Madrid colours.

Inadmissible police negligence that forced Real Madrid to issue an official statement to show their unease and unhappiness at what happened with their fans. Now the club will be taking action on hearing the facts about another ugly episode involving French authorities' treatment of fans.
