Real Madrid plan 5-player sale to clear way for Pogba

Real Madrid are ready to sell a raft of players with the express purpose to land Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Marca says Real have put five out-of-favour players on the transfer market as they look to fund a big-money move for United's wantaway star.

Zidane wants to sell no fewer than five players so he can raise at least £200million and ultimately step up his pursuit of Pogba, who is valued at £150m by United.

Among the stars set to leave Madrid are Gareth Bale, deemed surplus to requirements by Zidane, and James Rodriguez, who is believed to be attracting interest from Atletico Madrid.

Marco Asensio and Isco are also on the market for £72m apiece and it is claimed that Premier League trio Liverpool , Manchester City and Manchester United are all keeping an eye on developments with those players.

Dani Ceballos is another player set to leave this summer and he is on the brink of completing a loan switch to Arsenal, says the Mirror, although his long-term future in Madrid is also in doubt.
