Real Madrid No2 Aitor Karanka insists there was no agonising over the selection of Iker Casillas for victory over Valencia.

Real coach Jose Mourinho went with Casillas despite Antonio Adan being available after his ban.

"There was never a debate among the coaching staff about Casillas. Whenever we sit down, we consider all players, even a major one. The important thing is the team," argued Karanka.
