Real Madrid are ready to sell Mateo Kovacic to Chelsea.

However, Marca reports any deal will hinge on Chelsea's appeal against a two-window transfer ban being granted.

Real are willing to sell Kovacic to the Blues after his successful loan in London, though they could also use him as a makeweight in their offer for Eden Hazard.

Just last week, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri stated: "He is only on loan, of course, but I'd like very much that Kovacic will stay with us.

"In my opinion Kovacic could become a great midfielder, of course he is not a defensive midfielder, but you know that in that position I prefer a very technical player."
