Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde has welcomed new teammate Eden Hazard.

Valverde discussed Hazard and his spectacular unveiling.

"I was also excited about the past but I'm happy with what's coming," he said to MARCA.

"If you're a player and 40,000 people come to welcome you, you have to be happy."

The midfielder refused to say too much about the possibility of Paul Pogba's arrival but did say he is confident of his place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for 2019/20.

"At the moment, I'm in [Zidane's plans]," he said.

"As long as they don't tell me otherwise."
