Real Madrid midfielder Odegaard urged to ignore Everton

Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard has been urged to look beyond Everton this summer.

Odegaard is coming off a superb season on-loan with Vitesse and is being linked with the likes of Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt.

"I can imagine that it is better for him to play football at Ajax than a club like Eintracht Frankfurt or Everton. Then he can also get snowed under again and that does not help you," argued former Denmark international Kenneth Perez.

"I thought it was very striking what (Vitesse coach Leonid) Slutsky said about Ödegaard.

"He first became acquainted with the Eredivisie this season and he concludes that Ödegaard should actually go to a better competition, where he gets more resistance. As an outsider, Slutsky finds that the level and the resistance are not too high."
