Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vazquez hailed their performance for victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.

The result sees Real reach the Champions League round of 16.

Vazquez said, "Yes (it was a complete performance), both this one and the one in Milan were very good. The team showed what it is capable of and it is the line to follow.

“It is important both for the coach and for us.

"Together we make a great team. We do not doubt what we are capable of doing. Criticism is part of the game."

On new contract talks, Vazquez added: "It is a complicated issue; I have a clear conscience. We will see what happens, I dedicate myself to working day by day. I am very happy to be at Real Madrid."
