Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is yet to respond to a new contract offer.

Marca says the German has become a reference point for Los Blancos. All in silence, with hard work and respect, which he has shown once again this season when the Real Madrid directors offered him to extend his contract, which expires in 2023, for another year.

Kroos did not hesitate and said that it was not the time, as he first wants to know how he feels ahead of next season before committing the club to another year of contract.

His answer was sincere, not because he had any doubts about his potential performance, but out of principle of loyalty to Real Madrid.

Kroos simply prefers to wait, to see what his body and his head tell him before committing to Real Madrid, because he doesn't want to end up being a burden for the club.
