Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos concedes they're fortunate being part of this week's Supercopa de Espana tournament in Riyadh.

Victory against Barcelona sees Real Madrid reach the final.

Asked by his brother Felix on their podcast about what Real had don to qualify for the four-team knockout, Toni joked: "Well, obviously, not much because we neither won the Liga nor were we Cup winners.

"But here we are. It's been two years, the first time the Supercopa was played with four teams, we hadn't been champions either in the Liga or the Copa and we ended up winning the Supercopa. What am I going to tell you? To be honest, I think the organiser has a certain interest in which we participate."
