Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has jumped to the defence of Germany coach Joachim Low.
Kroos has dismissed Michael Ballack's suggestion that coach Joachim Low should have been sacked for the nation's poor showing at the World Cup (the worst in 80 years).
"He thinks there should have been a change, maybe it's because he wants the job," Kroos joked.
"There will always be different opinions, some people think you should retire after great achievements while others believe the best time is after a big failure.
"If you ask yourself, the coach can find new incentives and Low has done.
"I am convinced that we can return to doing well again."
