Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde was delighted with victory over Real Sociedad.

Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema struck for Madrid in the 2-1 win.

Valverde said, "I'm very happy. I think that when it's a difficult match, and especially when we win, you have to enjoy it. We have to keep moving forward and be very motivated and full of desire.

"We were the better side for much of the game. Our opponents were tough, they knew what they had to do, but we were able to cope with them very well. This has to serve as motivation for what we have left in the campaign."

On Vinicius Junior's performance, Valverde added: "I congratulate him on his performance, but the victory belongs to all of us, to those who played and those who didn't because we are a team."
