Real Madrid midfielder Ceballos admits Arsenal frustrations: Zidane...?

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos admits his loan with Arsenal this season has been frustrating.

Despite shining at times under both current manager Mikel Arteta and predecessor Unai Emery, Ceballos admits his injury problems have been a setback.

He told El Chiringuito: "I end my contract on June 30. I will have to play for Arsenal, I don't know how (if the season is extended).

"When I started I was doing well, but after the injury I recovered in Madrid and I did have contact when I recovered in Valdebebas. They were very friendly."

Ceballos was said to have quit Real last summer after falling out with coach Zinedine Zidane.

He added: "I have not spoken to the coach. He asked after me when I was recovering. I wished him luck for the end of LaLiga.

"I was lucky to play with (Julen) Lopetegui and the objectives did not come out. As for the relationship of the future it would be irresponsible to speak about it. The most important thing is that the team I go to is important. I came to Arsenal to be important and in less than a month it has vanished."
