Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro says they must stay positive after their 2-2 draw with Villarreal.

Gareth Bale scored twice to save a point for Real Madrid, who came back from a goal down on two occasions.

“We had control and created opportunities, but with this jersey you are required to win. It's what Real Madrid is about. We know it's a difficult place to come. We had control of the game, for maybe 75 minutes," said Casemiro.

"They had the two chances and scored two goals. We battled on until the end and have to keep doing so. It's a point and we have to keep putting points on the board. We now have the chance to work and change our mentality during the international break.

"We lacked that cutting edge and have to improve defensively. We have to work as a team. When we defend, we all have to defend and when we attack, we all have to attack together. There's a strong group spirit here and I'm sure that'll serve us well in LaLiga."
