Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro happy scoring in Granada win

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro was happy to score in their victory over Granada last night.

Casemiro struck in the hard-fought 2-0 win.

The Brazil international said, “We know they play some great football and they have a coach who's doing a fantastic job. That's three huge points, we want to keep up our positive run but it's important to rest up as well now. We know we have to do that, but we have to stay strong and we'd like to keep up our great form when we come back.

“We can't forget about football during the break and we have to do things right. In a week's time we've got another important game. As I've been saying, every team around the world are having dips in form. There are a lot of games to play and pre-season was very short. It's happening to every team but we have to keep up this good run.

“It was an important goal but the gaffer will be thrilled. He asks me to bring balance but he also likes me to get into the box because I'm a good finisher. He's always on at us midfielders to get into the area. I know my job, as does everyone else, and it's about balance but there are times in the game when you feel... I don't know exactly how to explain it and I just went for the ball. Asensio's delivery was perfect."
