Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro says they must stop talking about Cristiano Ronaldo.

The void left by the Juventus striker was again raised last night after their Copa del Rey defeat to Barcelona. Barca fans taunted the Real players with 'Ronaldo, Ronaldo' chants.

Casemiro said: "We cannot talk about a player who is not here. A week ago we talked about (Karim) Benzema being the best nine, Vinicius, Lucas ... we cannot talk about Cristiano because he is not a Madrid player.

"A great player, Vinicius ... We missed the goal, but the top players are doing everything very well, especially Karim, who is making his best year at Madrid."

He added: "We were all sad, we knew that we have done many good things, but we are sad."
