Real Madrid have made a formal approach to Rennes for Eduardo Camavinga.
AS says Real, via Juni Calafat, has made contact with his Rennes' counterparts to sound them out about a willingness to negotiate a deal.
The 17 year-old is a top target for Real, though it has only been in recent days that they've formalised their interest.
While he signed a new contract earlier this season, it only runs to 2022 and there is no clause, contrary to French reports, which would require Camavinga to remain next season if Rennes qualified for the Champions League.
The season was abandoned in France with Rennes sitting third in the table, but Camavinga could yet quit this summer if Real can convince Rennes to negotiate terms over his transfer.
