Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez hails Chicharito's World Cup impact

Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez has hailed the impact of West Ham striker Javier Hernandez at the World Cup.

Chicharito was influential in Mexico's victory over Germany.

"I like Javier Hernandez, he was Mexico's best player against Germany," Sanchez told MARCA.

"He did his job as an experienced central forward, he caused problems for the defenders and was involved in the goal.

"Whilst he wasn't effective with his final shot, he showed his resolve."

Hernandez joined West Ham United in the summer of 2017, however it's unclear whether or not he will stay in London.

"He made a difficult decision joining West Ham," Sanchez intimated. "He went to a team where he would get fewer chances.

"They aren't a big Premier League club, Javier is meant for great things and I always wish him luck."
