Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas has reached 1,000 career games.

The trip to Belenenses for the evening game on matchday 27 of the Liga NOS saw Real Madrid legend Casillas lead out the team for his one thousandth appearance.

Most of this tally was, of course, achieved playing for Real Madrid, the 'club of his life', 725 to be precise.

That figure was just 16 shy of Raúl's record, but was sufficient to win 18 Spanish titles, 10 of them as captain.
