Real Madrid are ready to lean on sponsors adidas to give them an edge in the battle for Bayern Munich attacker David Alaba.

AS says with both Real Madrid and Alaba being adidas clients, there's a hope inside the Spanish giants that it will influence the Austrian's thinking.

The midfielder comes off contract in June and has interest from across Europe.

There's been claims Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has pulled back from negotiations due to Alaba's personal demands.

However, things could change with adidas keen to put both parties together next season.
