Real Madrid launching bid for Stoke keeper Begovic

Real Madrid are chasing Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The Telegraph says Carlo Ancelotti, the Real manager, is considering a bid for Begovic after the World Cup Finals as he faces the prospect of losing current No 1 Diego Lopez to AC Milan.

Ancelotti attempted to sign Begovic twice while in charge at Chelsea and with the Spanish giants evaluating new goalkeeper targets, the Bosnia international is believed to be on the radar.

Stoke will demand between £12 million and £15 million for the 26 year-old, who has also been frequently watched by Manchester United and Manchester City, and are expecting to receive offers before next season.
