Real Madrid have a shortlist of two to replace Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatia midfielder left for Chelsea on Wednesday and Marca says Real will immediately move to replace him.
The two players under consideration are Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic and Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara.
Real believe €60m will land Thiago, while it will take €80m to prise Pjanic away from Juve.
Earlier on Wednesday, Real coach Julen Lopetegui said of Kovacic: "If he goes out we will look for solutions, without doubt.
"We will take the solutions internally. If he leaves, there will be a player of his level (to arrive). We want a balanced squad."
