Former Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic concedes he enjoys watching Lionel Messi for Barcelona.

Mijatovic has admitted that he likes watching Barcelona because of Lionel Messi.

The former Real Madrid forward is a big favourite with Los Blancos' fans after scoring the winning goal in the 1998 Champions League final.

"Although I'm a Madridista, I'd like to see Messi play in Spain for many more years," Mijatovic told Radio Continental AM 590.

"I only watch Barcelona to see him play."

Mijatovic also commented on the controversy surrounding VAR in the LaLiga Santander title race.

"The referees in the VAR room still get confused looking at certain incidents," he said.

"Real Madrid will win LaLiga because they have a big lead, not because of refereeing mistakes."
