Real Madrid goalscorer Marcos Asensio was happy to score in victory over Celta Vigo.

The win takes Real within three points of leaders Atletico Madrid.

Asensio said, "We put in a very complete performance. We were very solid defensively and at the other end we created chances which we took advantage of and I think that was the key.

"We're on a good run of form and we always want more. We know that we're going into the final stretch of the season, every game is very important for us and we want to win them all. We're taking it one step at a time and we've got to rest for a couple of weeks and then we go again for the next game.

"We knew we were up against a good side and, as I said, we were solid and compact in defence and we knew that up front we were going to create chances, and that's what happened."
