Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has likened Vinicius Junior to former Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard.

The Brazilian teen struck in Sunday's victory over Alaves and was given a standing ovation by the home crowd when substituted.

Courtois stated: "At the same age, he is the player with the most self-confidence and impudence that I have seen since Hazard."

The Belgian also moved to clarify taunting remarks aimed at his former Atletico Madrid fans made over the weekend.

"The Dutch translation is a bit bad, it's a special match for me because I arrived there when I was 19 years old."
