Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois believes the 4-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu was nothing more than a fluke.
The Belgian goalkeeper feels that Real Madrid's results have drastically improved since then which indicates it was merely a bad day at the office for Los Blancos against their rivals.
"It was a very bad night, but we recovered quickly, because you shouldn't have to think too much about defeats," he told El Capitan.
"I'm disappointed, of course, but I think it was clear that there is a before and after that defeat.
"If you look at our results and our performance it was a fluke."
Courtois hailed his side for the comeback win over Paris Saint-Germain.
"It was a wonderful dream," he said.
"After the first leg, few fans believed we could qualify, but we did it.
"It was one of those many nights when I feel lucky to play for Madrid."
