Real Madrid fullback Alvaro Odriozola says the players are right behind caretaker coach Santiago Solari.

Florentino Perez has yet to make his mind up as to who will be the new permanent coach at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but with three wins out of three, 11 goals scored and none conceded, Solari is in pole position.

"Solari is an excellent coach who was also a very good player," the right-back said after their Champions League win at Viktoria Plzen.

"We focused on working with any coach but we will fight to the death for Solari."

The manner of victory will have restored some confidence, and Odriozola admitted as much.

"It was a great night, we needed a match like this to regain confidence," he continued.

"We leave here with a very good feeling."
