Real Madrid fullback Miguel Gutierrez is delighted with his move to Girona.

Gutierrez joins Girona in the Primera Division from Real Madrid Castilla and admits coach and Los Merengues hero Michel had a big influence on his move.

He said, “I spoke with Míchel and he convinced me a lot. Girona has an idea that is very close to my style of play. When a club loves you and bets on you, there is not much to think about. I'm here with great enthusiasm.

“I want to make the leap to the Primera Division. It is a very important step in my career. I want to grow as a footballer and do great things at Girona. I am very grateful for the bet they have made for me. This year I will demonstrate my commitment on the pitch.

“I hope to mature in the aspects that I have to improve. Girona and Míchel are going to help me with this. Here, in the first days I felt good. It was all rather fast, from one day to the next. I feel comfortable with the team and we have to keep working."
