Real Madrid fear Man City winning race to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland

Real Madrid chiefs fear Manchester City are winning the battle for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland's signature.

Haaland is expected to leave Dortmund this summer, with some of Europe's biggest clubs queueing up in their pursuit of the Norwegian striker.

Libertad Digital says Real Madrid have already contacted Haaland's agent Mino Raiola to discuss a move for the 21-year-old.

The club's owners are confident that Haaland would only join the Galacticos if he was to make the move to LaLiga.

There are concerns however about Manchester City, with people of 'high responsibility' at Madrid claiming that the reigning Premier League champions have an '80% chance of signing him'.

Pep Guardiola's side are in need of a striker while Haaland's father, Alf-Inge, played for Manchester City during his career.

It's said that City would be able to put in a bigger offer for Haaland and would also be able to pay him more in terms of wages than the LaLiga giants.
