Real Madrid face serious challenge from Man Utd in race for BVB striker Haaland

Manchester United are ready to battle Real Madrid for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braud Haaland.

Despite the Norwegian only moving to Germany in January, the biggest clubs in Europe remain hopeful of securing his signature.

Dortmund could look to cash in Haaland with the inevitable financial pressure from the recent coronavirus outbreak.

Real are extremely keen on signing the 19-year-old, who has a release clause in his contract, but they won't go unchallenged.

ESPN says Haaland has not burned any bridges at Old Trafford after rejecting the club in January, and United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains keen on securing his signature.

The Red Devils are also interested in Haaland's teammate Jadon Sancho.
