Real Madrid have confirmed entering talks with Spanish esports organisation MAD Lions that could see the Spanish giants enter the 2019 European League of Legends Championship Series, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The club told Spanish industry digital outlet Movistar eSports that they were in talks with the esports body after a joint Real Madrid and MAD Lions team were listed as a 'probable team' in the 2019 European League of Legends Championship Series elsewhere.

While the Spanish club has emphasised that no agreement has been finalised, the acknowledgement that discussions have taken place is the latest sign that the 13-time Champions League winners are looking to enter the esports market.
