Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has revisited a tense row with Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann last year while with France.

Before winning the World Cup, the pair clashed on the team bus after defeat to Sweden in June 2017.

"When did I confront Antoine Griezmann on the bus? Do you know what was said on the bus? As a competitor, I was a little upset. There was no confusion. But it was a moment when one needed an awareness," recalled Varane.

"It was too light for me. We should not forget the collective goal, that everyone is aware, Antoine too, at that time ... But hey, what is said on the bus stays on the bus (laugh)."
