Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane is happy to wait another year to join Manchester United.
The 28-year-old is out of contract in 2022 and is reportedly close to agreeing personal terms with the Red Devils.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, who report that Varane is happy to leave on a free transfer next summer should United and Real fail to reach an agreement over a fee.
Real are open to sanctioning a transfer for Varane, considering they will lose him for free next summer.
United remain hopeful they can negotiate a suitable fee as PSG also look at signing the France international.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would prefer to sign Varane this summer as the club look to mount a title challenge after finishing second last season.
