Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane expects a big test against Champions League opponents Manchester City.

After victory over Atletico Madrid, thoughts will begin to turn towards the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at home to City on February 26, though Varane is aware that it will be two difficult matches.

"They're a great team and it's going to be a tough tie," Varane admitted.

"It's going to be evenly matched and it could be decided in a single moment.

"They're a team that plays very well and I'm sure it's going to be a great tie because it's two great teams that are playing against each other."
