Real Madrid defender Ramos edges towards Man Utd move

Sergio Ramos is moving closer to leaving Real Madrid according to reports.

It is believed that the 29-year-old defender is keen to leave the Spanish giants this summer and join Manchester United on a £50million deal.

Spanish journalist Pablo Garcia Cuervo told Radio Marca that Real president Florentino Perez is prepared to offload Ramos but wants to make it appear as though the Sevilla-born Spain international is pushing for the move to Old Trafford.

"Sergio has made his mind up," said Garcia Cuervo.

"Florentino also wants Sergio to leave, but Real Madrid want it to seem like Sergio is the one who wants to leave because he isn't very 'Madridista'."

It is understood that Real will accept United's £50m offer for Ramos who has been at the Santiago Bernabeu since joining from Sevilla in 2005.
