Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos says he'll welcome the appointment of new coach Rafa Benitez. Benitez is due to be confirmed as new Real coach this week.

Ramos stated: "Until the club officially announces it, we can't make any comments on the matter, but what I can say is that he is a great coach with a wealth of experience, who has worked in England, Italy and Spain and won there.

"A coach tops you off by giving you balance and stability. It's always good to know the dressing room well and the longer he's there the better it is for the squad. But when changes are made because they think that's the solution, we have to fall in line with the people who make the decisions."
