Thibaut Courtois was delighted to make a winning debut for Real Madrid after victory over Leganes.
The Belgian was quick to insist there were no problems with Keylor Navas after the Costa Rican was dumped for him.
Courtois said, “I'm ready to play. Keylor and I both give it our all in every training session to be ready and then it's down to the boss to decide who will play. The competition helps us to give it our best.
"We're at the best club in the world and there has to be competition. Whenever Keylor has played he's done a great job and I think I did well today too. It's the best possible thing for the team. The press are looking for controversy where it doesn't exist. We get on very well and wish each other luck. There's no problem there at all."
The former Chelsea goalkeeper also said, "I thank the fans for their support, I hope they continue to provide this kind of backing to help the team to keep winning games. It's very important not to give chances away, we played high up and we're pressing superbly. Everyone is extremely committed and we can see that with how the team keeps running until the final minute."
