Real Madrid had been chasing a deal for former Chelsea star Eden Hazard for the past three years.

Marca says Los Blancos have been tracking the Belgian winger, 28, since 2016.

Zinedine Zidane tried landing Hazard for two consecutive summers before Julen Lopetegui failed to strike a deal with the Blues last year.

But after coming close several times, Real have finally landed their man in a deal which is set to reach £130million.

Hazard was in the final year of his Chelsea contract, forcing the Blues to sell this summer.

And the Belgian will now earn a stunning £400,000-a-week after penning a five-year deal with the Bernabeu giants.

It's said that Madrid chiefs frequently travelled to London over the years to try and convince Chelsea to sell.

They even sent Roberto Carlos to meet personally with Hazard, who confided in the Brazilian that he did indeed want to move to the Spanish capital.
