Real Madrid midfielder Eden Hazard is set for ankle surgery in Dallas in the United States on Thursday.
The Belgian winger suffered a fracture to his ankle during Real's shock defeat by Levante last month and missed the Champions League clash with Manchester City as a result.
It has been an injury-hit first campaign for the 29-year-old at the Santiago Bernabeu — he missed three months of the season with another ankle issue.
His absence saw them lose 2-1 to City at home last week.
Hazard arrived at Real from Chelsea in the summer for a fee that could rise to £150million but has scored just once in 15 appearances.
