Real Madrid are confident a deal is now in place for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Off contract in June, Real want to sign the Spain international in January.

AS says Real will cough up €20m to sign Kepa and hope to announce the deal in the first week of January.

Kepa has long broken off all contact with Bilbao about a new deal and instead will sign a six-year contract with Real worth €3m-a-season.

The goalkeeper is currently sidelined with the foot fracture.
