Real Madrid coach Zidane worried as Courtois struggling to make Man City trip

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is sweating on the fitness of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois today.

Ahead of their Champions League round 16 second-leg clash at Manchester City, Courtois is an injury doubt after limping at the end of defeat to Real Betis.

The Belgian is carrying a strain to his left leg and El Chiringuito says he will undergo a scan on Tuesday.

Things are so serious that the scan couldn't be performed today due to inflammation problems in the injured area.

Courtois could be out for at least the next two games: Eibar's visit to Santiago Bernabéu and the visit to City next week, where Real must overcome a 1-2 aggregate deficit.

Waiting to step in at Real is reserve keeper Alphonse Areola.
