Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane insists they're not missing Cristiano Ronaldo after after their stalemate with Athletic Bilbao.

The 0-0 draw leaves Real two points behind leaders Barcelona.

Asked if Ronaldo is being Zidane said, “No. What we lack is continuity, because we're going through different dynamics. This is just a case of two games without scoring. Football is like that at times.

"When we get back to training, and winning, we'll get through it. What we need is to keep proving our mettle on every level."

The coach added: “I spoke to them after the game. The most important thing is to leave everything out on the pitch. Sometimes in this game the ball just won't go in, that happened today.

"We hit the post three times. We need to remain calm as we have a team replete with quality, we now we can score but it comes down to patience and keeping calm. We can change this for sure."
