Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has warned his players a squad overhaul is planned.

He was speaking a day before Los Blancos' game with Athletic Club on Sunday at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

"I'm going to speak about [transfers] with club because I know perfectly what I want," he told reporters on Saturday. "But not now. I'm not going to give names."

Zidane was asked about what guarantees he was given by Florentino Perez upon returning to coach Real Madrid.

"[The club] wanted to change things, not conditions, and we spoke about what we're going to be able to do and the profile of players," the Frenchman said.

"Then we will see what can be achieved in the transfer market, but it's clear that there will be changes."
