Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane was delighted with victory at Huesca.

Raphael Varane scored twice as Real Madrid had to come from behind to beat bottom club Huesca and ease the pressure on Zidane.

He said, "It was a really important win for us because we've been struggling a bit recently. We showed a lot of character and it was a big win for us that helps us to move in the right direction. We have to be patient and we should be pleased with our performance.

"We're pleased with the win. It was a tough game, but we managed to take all three points. It's a long season and there's still loads to play for and we have to keep fighting. I'm very pleased with the performance. We didn't get off to the best start, but after 20 minutes we began to control the game. It was important to get the win and we have to keep improving and get back to our best football, which we all want to see at Real Madrid.

"It's not easy to come from 1-0 down. We struggled a bit after their goal but we knew we could turn it around and we showed great character to do so. It's significant to get a win like this after going behind."
