Real Madrid coach Zidane upbeat facing Alaves: The sun comes out after a storm

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is upbeat going into their clash with Alaves.

Back-to-back Champions League wins over Inter have them nicely positioned to qualify from their group now, but the Spanish champions sit fourth in LaLiga Santander ahead of taking on Alaves this Saturday.

Zidane, cool as ever, was quizzed about his approach and how he manages to stay positive during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

"You have to believe in yourself and in your work," Zidane said. "The players believe [in it] too. I'm very positive. I'm in a privileged position and, in the end, the sun always comes out [after a storm]. That's life. With the quality we have, we're going to have good results. We're going to have more difficult moments, but we'll try to move on."

Zidane knows that teams raise their level when they come up against Real Madrid and, consequently, they always need to be at their very best to compete.

"Teams come out more than fully charged against Madrid," Zidane said. "We have to be at 150 percent to stand a chance of winning. But if we're at the same level as them, then our quality can make a difference."
