Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane hasn't dropped his plans to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Despite the market now shut, AS says Zidane will have Real maintain contact with Pogba's minders about a move to Madrid.

Indeed, a January push for the World Cup winner is on the agenda and it's significant the deadline fell with no alternative midfield option arriving.

For his part, Pogba has again added to the speculation with his social media activity yesterday.

As the La Liga transfer deadline loomed, Pogba liked a post saying 'Please come to Madrid' - fuelling suspicion that the French midfielder still has his heart set on a move to the Bernabeu.
