Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane remains hopeful of bringing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to Spain.
Marca says Zidane is adamant Pogba must remain their No1 midfield transfer target, despite the attitude of president Florentino Perez.
Perez would prefer to strengthen Zidane's midfield with more affordable candidates. Napoli ace Fabian Ruiz is the president's top choice.
But Zidane is insisting they continue to persevere in attempts to strike terms with United for Pogba.
And significantly, talk of Pogba discussing new contract terms are yet to bring an agreement, with his current deal having less than a year to run.
