Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane hit back at Monchi after the Sevilla sporting director expressed his anger over the refereeing decisions in their defeat to Real Madrid.
Sevilla had a goal ruled out in the first half of the match when Eder Militao was blocked off by Nemanja Gudelj before Luuk de Jong headed home.
"I refuse to analyse the match tactically or technically because this moment is very key and it's absurd to analyse the game from this point on," Monchi said about the incident.
"What I can say is that I've seen the incident and it's a block, there's a foul, the referee looked at VAR and gave a foul," Zidane said.
"In the second half, there's a handball [for De Jong's goal] and he didn't give it.
"I can't explain anything and I never enter into evaluating it. It's the referees who decide. Sometimes it goes against you and sometimes it goes in your favour.
It's a tough job. It's they who decide.
"For me, there's a block, it's a foul and it's normal. You can't complain.
"I don't think the referee was so decisive [in the result]. He did what he had to do."
