Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is adamant they have their Champions League "destiny" in their hands.

Real are at Shakhtar Donetsk tonight needing a result to maintain their qualifying chances.

Zidane said, “Our destiny is in our own hands and we've got another cup final tomorrow night. We've got two cup finals to come in the Champions League and tomorrow's is the most important game in the group because these three points could see us progress to the next round. That has to be our sole focus.

“I can clearly see the players' desire, but there have been some very strange things going on, such as injuries and our preparation has been different. All of that influences things, but the players' desire will always be there at this club. It's impossible not to feel that desire.

"The players know where they are and what it means to play for Real Madrid. We'll always have that desire. Whilst you can put in a poor performance, the desire is another thing and that will always be there at Real Madrid."
