Real Madrid coach Zidane on scratchy Eibar win: Players unmotivated

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane admits his players lack motivation after their win over Eibar.

Real went 1-0 down to Eibar before two goals from Karim Benzema in the second half sealed a 2-1 victory.

"This season we will not win anything, we know that," said Zidane.

"Playing for nothing is difficult."

The Frenchman provided his analysis of what went wrong in the first half and what Madrid did to amend things in the second period.

"At half-time we had to change for the second 45 minutes in front of us as we could not continue like we did in the first half," Zidane stated.

"We changed [things] and played more as a team. We ran more, were together, and completely changed the game.

"The first half we lacked confidence, above all at the start of the game, which was very difficult.

"In the end we must congratulate all players who battled, and the second half they changed things, they came together and helped each other a lot on the pitch."
