Real Madrid coach Zidane delighted with Isco's goalscoring performance for Malaga win

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane was pleased with Isco's performance for victory over Malaga.

Isco struck against his former club for the 2-1 win.

Zidane said: “I'm pleased with his performance and his goal. It's his home and he had a great game. I'm thrilled for him and for the team. This is where he grew up and he deserved that kind of reception. He's been an important player for Málaga and today he's crucial for Real Madrid."

The Frenchman continued: "We did very well and it's not easy to play against a team that don't deserve to be where they are in the table. We were motivated, went about the task in a serious manner, played very well and got a good result. It was important to rotate players and play some who don't usually get so much game time.

"I try to do my best and make rotations, but not everyone can rest. We've got one game before the Champions League semi-final and we'll see how we're going to play. We're on good form and we're all fit and healthy. Having everyone available is very important."
